Description (see document "tender specifications" for full details): The European Commission wishes to explore to what extent it could or should encourage more sustainable and more entrepreneurial local development by appealing to the sense of responsibility of enterprise to engage with actors at the local level, to create strategies and advance activities that will benefit all parties. The contractor should produce a study that will:
- Describe what practice exists in CSR being implemented at the local level
- Assess the relevance, extent, and effectiveness of current activity
- Assess whether further activity is possible and desirable
-
Make recommendations as to what should be done to further develop local CSR by the European Commission, by other public organisations, by enterprise, and by non-governmental organisations
