Event around which initiative is launched:


With the support of the European Commission and as part of a wider project called the CSR Platform, KUE-I, EABIS and EFMD are organising an event on "The Bologna Process & the Implications of European University Educational Reform for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Research" on Friday 31 March at the Ingolstadt School of Management (70 km from Munich).

EABIS 1st Knowledge and Learning Network Grants (Category C) Awarded: CR & Governance

EABIS is pleased to announce that the Selection Committee has awarded the following people a travel grant to explore external funding opportunities in the field of corporate responsibility and governance:

As part of the initiative, they will attend the event on "The Changing Role of Governement and Corporate Responsibility" in Barcelona on 24th March and have additional discussions.

We will keep you informed of the development of this initiative.  The group will become EABIS's first Knowledge and Learning Network.

Alcan Prize for sustainability 2006

The Alcan Prize for Sustainability 2006 for US$1 million closes for entries on 31st March 2006 (Midnight GMT).  Please encourage eligible organizations to enter by nominating or indeed entering your own organization.

This US$1 million Prize is awarded each year to any not-for-profit, civil society or non-governmental organization based anywhere in the world for their contributions to addressing and progressing economic, environmental and / or social sustainability.

In addition to the US$1 million Prize, Alcan Grants will be awarded to non winning finalists and redeemable for a suitably qualified senior member of staff to attend the University of Cambridge Program for Industry in England and earn a Post Graduate Certificate in Cross Sector Partnership (www.cpi.cam.ac.uk/pccp). The Grants will be awarded on merit and at the discretion of the adjudication panel.

Created in 2004 in association with the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), Prize recipients will be selected based on an evaluation by independent assessors and a high-level, international panel of distinguished adjudicators.
