Apply for Doctoral Research Prize!

Emerald Group Publishing Limited and CEEMAN seek to celebrate excellence in management research in Central and Eastern Europe by sponsoring a Doctoral Research Prize.

The research must address an issue that is of relevance to accelerating and improving management development in Central and Eastern Europe. The Prize is open to those who have completed and satisfied examination requirements for a Doctoral award, or will do so, between 1 June 2004 and 1 June 2006 and are from a CEEMAN member institution.

The winning entry will receive:

- a cash prize of €1,500 (or other currency equivalent)

- a certificate and the prospect of an offer of publication in an Emerald journal as a full paper, or as an executive summary/research note, at the discretion of the Editor.

In addition, a number of Highly Commended awards will be bestowed.

Submission deadline – July 2006.

Céline Louche's award-winning doctoral thesis

Céline Louche was granted an award for her doctoral thesis on the institutionalisation process of socially responsible investment between 1990 and 2002.  She based her analysis on the evolution of the discourse and practices of the main Dutch ethical funds and of six  Dutch listed companies from three different sectors: petrochemicals, agribusiness and the media.
The article published in Le Monde on her thesis is available in the EABIS Main Communities.

The oikos foundation for economy and ecology at the Universityof St.
Gallen, Switzerland, is now inviting applications from qualified
candidates for its new PhD Fellowship Programme. oikos PhD Fellows
receive a grant for three years to conduct their research at the
University of St. Gallen and contribute to concrete oikos projects.

Application deadline is March 30, 2006.
